Mad scientist birthday party {a "cool" party for a 10 year old}

So,
Gavin is at that age when having a birthday party can be "uncool".
He did turn 10 after all!
I asked him about having a mad scientist party
{reminded by his Halloween costume~ THAT was cool!}
and found this site.
She had everything I needed all in one place. You can get all the directions for the experiments from her site too.

We got lab coats, goggles, masks, & gloves for the scientists.

We had the boys make a marshmellow-toothpick tower for our contest.

The mentos & diet soda geysers were definitely the highlight of the party.

After getting completely covered in soda

they needed to get washed off.

And I couldn't tell who was having more fun...
